Portland’s reputation as one of the top “foodie” cities in America is one we celebrate with pride. On March 2, in Portland’s Southeast neighborhood, Redd on Salmon will officially open it’s doors to the public. This Ecotrust project hopes to build a food-centric, interactive space that connects the community directly with their food sources. This innovative food hub provides a space for farmers, fishermen and ranchers to bring their goods for distribution. The venue is also available for parties, workshops, and weddings. Redd on Salmon occupies two blocks and consists of two buildings and an outdoor plaza for food carts and markets. Their grand opening event on March 2 will include food and drinks, entertainment, food demos, and a raffle. For more information and to purchase tickets, be sure to visit their site here.
